- The Campus
Location
- The Yercaud camp is set within a 250-acre coffee estate nestled in the Shevaroys range of the Eastern Ghats, just 40 km from Salem.
Elevation
- Situated at 4,500 feet above sea level, offering a cool and serene environment.
Facilities
- 27 spacious 10’x12’ tents for comfortable accommodation.
- Western-style washrooms with running water for convenience.
- Large dining spaces, multiple bonfire pits, and dedicated activity zones.
- High and low-element ropes courses and trekking trails winding through misty forests.
- A fully equipped kitchen serving nutritious meals.
Accomodation
- Students will stay in shared tents (Triple/Quadro occupancy) with separate boys' and girls' areas.
- Bathroom facilities are separate for boys and girls.
- Travel and Logistics
Onward Journey
- Students will have to report at a designated location in Bangalore and travel to Yercaud Lake in AC buses.
- For the final stretch near the camp, children will transfer to MUVs/Jeeps.
Return Journey
- Transfer from the camp to Yercaud Lake by MUVs/Jeeps.
- Travel from Yercaud Lake to Bangalore at the designated location in AC buses.
Transport Safety
- Partnered with trusted third-party transport providers to ensure all vehicles are thoroughly inspected for roadworthiness.
- Drivers are briefed on speed limits, convoy protocols, and designated breaks for a safe and smooth journey.
- Each vehicle is equipped with a dedicated medical kit, and our instructors monitor participants for motion sickness, providing medication as needed.
- Eligibility Criteria
- Should be studying in grade 9-12 (age 14-17).
- The students should be academically inquisitive with strong extracurricular activities.
- Should have a good command over written and spoken English.
- An overall performer and team player, ready for challenges.
- Safety Guidelines
Instructor Ratio
- We maintain a 1:10 adult-to-child ratio at camp, with at least one female instructor for every 10 female participants.
- All Camp Chiefs and instructors are trained and certified by reputed institutions like NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School), NIM, JIM, and HMI. They also receive sensitivity training to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
- A resident doctor is available on camp 24/7, equipped with essential and some advanced medicines and medical equipment.
- An emergency vehicle is on standby at all times to ensure rapid response in case of any medical situation. Nearby Medical Assistance: The nearest hospital is located just 15 minutes away, ensuring quick access in case of emergencies. Yercaud (6 kms, 15 mins) | Salem (40 kms, 1 hour 15 mins).

Meeting students from all over India was one of the best parts of the Omega Fellowship. Everyone had such different ideas and ways of thinking — it made our discussions really interesting. I learned to see things from new angles and understand how different people think. It was fun, eye-opening, and something I’ll always remember.
What I loved most about Omega was the supportive community. I made amazing friends and learned how to communicate my ideas with confidence. The mentors encouraged us to think big and stay true to our values. It was an unforgettable experience!
